Idling rpm
« on: February 03, 2009, 10:30:58 PM »
HI,

Today observed that idling rpm was flucutating between 600 - 700rpm. Wonder if anyone faced with the same issue and was it resolved.

Hope its not like my old car which have idling problem that kinda forced me to change to this.

I always observed that the idling RPM is closer to 800 at Neutral position for Latio (50km) , When Engine is sufficiently warm

Really not sure than 600 - 700rpm is normal ?

Morning,

Mine the same, hovering around 700rpm, at N also around 800 rpm, so should be quite normal. If idling rpm too high, waste fuel.

700 is normal.

AS servicing, they will tune to 700 on idle reading

for RG, reason maybe the compressor kicks in so it will slightly increase to 1k ba, after awhile did it drop to normal?

Bro, wat problem u encountered b4 when idling at 600 to 700rpm? This shd b normal to us, unless too low where ur engine like wan to die, or too high where petrol consumption wil b high. Mine is ~ 600 rpm also.
Simple...

Is it when you just start the car? Idling rpm when warming up is quite high.

You mean you rpm with aircon on is all the time at 1K rpm even after driving long distance, then you should get it checked.
