rpm is 1400rev/min
limck007:
just go my EO changed at my 10K servicing last sat. Used the FOC Fastflo from TCM
BUT after 6 days of using the EO, my engine rpm is still at 1400rev/min when i start my engine (P-mode), 900 rev/min when in D-mode
After driving off, the rev will drop to 900 then after driving for a while, if i put the car to P-mode again, the rev will be around 800-900 rev/min
Is this normal after 10K servicing??
previous, the rpm for P-mode is around 800-900rev/min ANY TIME leh...

Perfectly normal and no cause for concern.
The high rpm during a cold start is the ECU's signal to the engine to hasten the proces of warming up the engine to operational temperature.
That's why when engine is warmed up, idling rpm drops to normal 800rpm.

Yup, i've asked the people at TCM Ubi. He says its normal for the rev at cold start as long as it is below 2k.
he explained that because the engine (some fuel injection type or watsoever) is actually releasing fuel to burn so that the temperature is wamed up. y below 2k? cos tats the jap govt's limit.. :confused1:
i'm still on fastflo organic EO waiting for 5K servicing. limck007, u sure u din see wrongly before the EO change?
at first i tot is becos i installed the O2 charger and reprogramme my ECU. but no it isnt because of these mods. The TCM guy says as long as the rpm goes back to 800 range (same for other cars) after warm up, then the engine is ok. During warming up, if the rev is more than 2k, then something is wrong.
