tyre recommendation

So when is the right time to change our stock tyres?

My ride is coming to two years this Sep and i am wondering if i should change the stock tyres since the general recommendation is 2 years. The stock tyres still look quite good but i understand that the lower end tyres normally last longer in terms of wear and tear but lose out in terms of performance and safety.

Always got this feeling that the car is taking a longer time to stop when i need to do E-braking even at a low speed so feel like changing to better tyres.

Is it a good time to get rid of the stock at 2 years irregardless of the condition? What good tyres are recommended? (looking at mid range ones that offer safety and comfort).

some ppl uses their mileage as a guage while some ppl change based on periodic. I tink if ur tyre tread is less than 1.6mm its more or less time to get a new set of fresh rubbers...

Initially, I thought the tyres is a bit heavy, then I realise it is because the tyres got good grip(stick well to ground) thus the initial feeling, drove thru the heavy downpour yesterday and its . Not sure is it fair to compare to my stock toyo which already serve me for 45k km but the new hankook sure is quieter.

On a side note, the mechanic  pump 230 for both my front & rear tyres and I must say the extra air(for the rear) did result in better FC for me w/o any extra feeling of discomfort.
