In what aspects do you feel the stock Toyo J50 tyres cannot make it?
It has served me well so far.

Silver:
information on sidewalls of Toyo tyres - Treadwear grade 220, Traction grade A, Temperature grade A
if Toyo tyres are really so bad, then how is it that these tyres are rated thus?
see page 9-10 Technical information of owner's manual for more information
may be good to conduct some "straight-ahead braking traction tests" one of these fine days to settle this matter once and for all

Definitely, I would use Toyo J50 tyres again!
In fact I recommended my brother-in-law to use Toyo J50 on his Fiat Doblo which uses the same size 185/65R15 as Latio.
His previous stock tyres were Pirelli Cinturato P4 before he switched to Toyo J50. It has been 6 months and he is happy with his new set of Toyos.
Great value at $90 nett a piece and made in Japan.
Most tyres are now made in Asia (cheaper labour and material cost) and yet cost even more than the Japan made Toyos.
