I would think it works like the handbrake. u pull it too hard often, it will become loose. Then u will find that it does not hold anymore when u really need it on a real steep slope! So usually i just depress about enough. It really steep slope, i think maybe 3 clicks. :smile:

I happened to have the Nissan service manual for Versa(US version of Latio), and their handbrake is wire activated. So I would imagine its the wire becoming loose after a long time. Should be able to ask the mechanic to tighten for you when servicing.

Well mine did when I forgot abt the foot brake and started driving. Or maybe its for FL only. :confused1:
