I'm using 6 months once method, using fully sent synthetic oil.

Nothing beats the freshly change engine oil when you drive. :devil2:

Whether the oil can tahan 1 year before change will ultimately depend on the quality of the oil. Make a study on the different famous brand and you will realise that the better ones can withstand longer drainage interval.
If you don't feel safe, just change it every 9 months for low mileage. Afterall, cars in S'pore are generally low in mileage compared to others overseas.

Many good brands have reserach to justify their claims, I don't they want to risk saying things that are not true, they could lose even more money, if you understand what I mean.

Safe bets are oils that are evidently spoken by many and researched upon. Afterall, S'por ecars rarely passes the 5 or even 10 year mark.
