flat tyre...pls advise

i have clocked 33K..been using toyo stock tyres since day 1.

earlier on, had a immediate flat rear tyre...removed the tyre and realised the culprit to be a huge nail...

kinda worried now that it cannot be patched..as such donoe what's install for me when i drive ard to look at a tyre workshop tomorrow...

questions:

1) any reputable tyre shops ard sengkang/hougang area?

2) if i need to change a new tyre, shd i just change one, the 2 rears or all the 4 tyres?
   =>  if i just change the flat, would it lead to any problem like tyres unbalancing etc?

3) i am only looking for an average toyo-like tyres...need not those high performance ones...roughly how much would an average-performance tyre cost and what's the brand?  i dont want to be "cut robert" by the workshop due to my ignorance...

4) i am gng for my TCM servicing in 2 weeks time, and due to this incident earlier on, i will surely ask them to check for wheel alignment...

1. Tyre patch up should be enough. About $10 to $15, depending whether it is an external tyre or inside patch job

2. Better to change 2 rear tyres if you want to change. OR you can just buy 1 Toyo J50 and use the spare tyre for the other rear wheel, since it is still new.

3. You can get Toyo J50 185/54R15 from Yap Brothers at Paya Ubi at $90 nett each.

4. Wheel alignment is applicable only for front wheels for Latio.

33k km tyre is not still new, about time to change already.

1. where was the puncture?

if it was in the sidewall, then bye bye tyre - cannot mend the puncture


2. were you driving until the tyre ran flat?

if yes, again, bye bye tyre - the sidewall is damaged


since you are driving with one new tyre and one old tyre at the rear, just be aware that if you are driving in wet conditions, the handling will be different when compared to driving with 2 rear tyres of even wear ---> so reduced speeds will be a pretty good idea

I thought typically if u r on spare tyre, yr speed should not go beyond 80km/h, unless u wan the spare tire to burst too...

no worries for lar-tio spare tyre the size is similar to ur 4 tyres not like like some other cars usin super skinny sotong tyres as their spare tyre dat 1 muz careful cannot travel above 80km/h

early latio like my 2005 CVT use the said skinny sotong spare tyre, the rest use normal size tyre.
