You will not receive any radio signal and thus no radio.

You can try it out by unscrewing the antenna.

anyway juz a curious qn : if our antenna is stolen.. will we be still able to listen to radio?

what are the side effects if we do not replace them immediately?

Maybe still able to receive just that the signal is weak and you can hear distortion sounds, same like you are under the basement.

will start saving for the replacement and hopefully TCM does not charge a bomb... it is a eye sore.... to have such an antenna.... everytime I see it when I open the door...
Me using the same antenna but silver colour (self bought and changed, not kena swiped). It works well, nevermind that gap lah.

I remember SC Lawrence Ong at TCTP service centre told me that the original antenna cost $80+. He himself driving a red Latio 4AT. He was the one who suggested using after market antenna and keep the original one.

Hi,

finally managed to get an antenna which cost me $7 / -

still it does not fit all the way into the base nicely... but at least look better than the previous one.

should anyone come across an suitable antenna for latio but not as costly as TCM charges, do share with me.

My mechanic told me to keep the original $80 antenna.   I bought one $10 antanae from DIY jurong point.   It looks like the one in the picture.   The interface part is not nice.   The original fits nicely.   Now i was thinking what am i going to do with the original one. If i put it on Ali Baba will take it.  Actually i found the original one gave better radio reception.

I think it is quite worrying. If there is a chiong antenna tt fits our Latio, i will use it and safekeep the original.
