car servicing package

Ying:
I don't like the "additional cost", I prefer nett price for all inclusive package.

source then buy from dealer then bring to workshop also incur extra "servicing" time and overhead cost which most people ignored but if it is fun then why not.

For me i dun like any packages at all like wat agent or as is doin wat 10k,20k,30k,40k,50k,60k,70k,80k etc etc...

I prefer other workshops out there  dat juz charges u for watever parts dat u tink it needs to be replaced and watever dat needs to be carried out eg. oil & oil filter change dats all.

Me did major 80k servicing at AS Defu last Thurs, total damage $159.32/- nia.
Package price $260 minus ($45 for own oil, $19+ for wipers, $10+ for air filter and $15 for AS member) = $159.32. Note: Me using Twister silicon wipers and Hurricane s/s air filter which did not need to be replaced and therefore the rebate.

If done at TC, it would definitely cost more than double. By the way, how much is TC charging for their package C nowadays?

sharon123:
I have been getting my regular EO changed at a car shop near Alexandra Village at Bukit Merah. The guy will check my brake, tyres, and almost everything as part of regular maintenance.

As I bring my own EO, the workshop charges me about $20+ for these checking. I do pay separately for the filter and parts if there is a change of part (so far, I only change the wiper).

My car is approaching 40000 km in a few month's time as I don't drive very much (mileage since 2005 Nov).

Is this sufficient? do I still need to sign up service packages you all talk about?
