Brake pads. When should I start changing it?
nzmg:
No I don't think I changed to Asuki pad.
This week I just did servicing at one of our popular workshops and the mechanic changed my front brake pads for $135. When I asked him what brand it was, he told me 'it's the same brand used by Tanchong'. I should have done some homework and bought my own consumables before going to the workshop..
Ying:
that's the thing I don like... package price cheaper but have other hidden cost. So did they change brake pad, rotate tiye then do wheel alignment for you?
SoL:
I paid 135 for OEM brake pads too. Kinda lousy, it makes screeching slow when I'm moving slowing and apply brakes.

Oh, you mean TanChong charges 135?
Today is only my 2nd day on the new pads, so far it has done its job with no complaints.

No I didn't rotate tyres, coz I just changed to Hankook K415 last week.
Is it a standard practice for the workshop to do wheel alignment if they rotate tyres?
