Some tyre questions
SoL:
Hello guys, just a few questions about tires.
I got my car 2nd hand a couple years ago, and it already came with Falken ZIEX-326 tires. 205/50R16 with rims. Right now, the tyre are very noisy, and I can't even stand the noise inside the car. Tyre mileage at 40k now.
I'm considering changing to a quieter set, since performance isn't my concern. I've heard great reviews of Hankook K415 and Bridgestone GR-80s. Are those available in 16" size? If now, how much would it cost to change rims to 15" and tires together. Got trade-in for this kind of thing?

Hi SOL,
I was on Falken 326 too but did not like the noise or wet handling as the tires then to skid when i start on stand still or hard braking in the Rain.
I have recently change to Hankook V8 205/15 R16 for about $476 for 4 tires at the Hankook agent and they are much better at braking and wet handling, in addition, the steering is lighter too.
Not sure about channging rims will save you money unless you are thinking of 2nd hand rims.
Regards

What about your old tires? Trade-in? Hankook now got promo, so I thinking of changing now. Right now primary concern is road noise, I'm ok with the grip of my current 326.

If you are concerned about rd noise, then the orig tyre size 185/65R15 is best for you.
You can check if anyone here is willing to do a swap of their orig 15" rims with you.
205/50R16 tyres are more expensive than stock 185/65R15 tyres.
