--- Quote from: idone2u on April 24, 2010, 09:19:53 PM ---I noticed that a lot of people change to 195 instead of the Manual 185...
do u know what impact it has on our Latio?
I thought 195 means more contact and hence more friction and hence fuel consumption will increase and means that the car is not tuned to 195 but 185
enlighten please

Hi idone2u,
I am using 205/50/15 Falken ZE912 on Nitrogen gas .. gotten from Soh Tyres. The rise in fuel consumption is not significant from the time I am on stock tyres (185/65/15).

The change from 185 to 195 has significant improvement in handling for me personally fuel comsumption negligible
give it a try, ive got no regrets 7k into the new tyres on stock rim
given im not too inclined to change rim giving wider tyres a miss
if 195 can make me feel the joy in handling cannot imagine hw 205 will excite me

Your speedo reading on your 205/50R15 there is 5.7% too fast, and also translates to more more km travelled, hence the perception that the rise in fuel consumption compared to stock size is not significant.
