The damm fuel pump choke and cannot be repair, so got to replace one. Total cost, $410 for fuel pump, $120 labour+ $45 towing charges. :(

Next another bill for the uninstalling and re-installing of my CNG system. :(
The only plus point after today exercise, is that I finally ground the rest of the 3 points of the ignition coil to the VS, now there are 4 points grounding. ;)

About 16 mths ago, I installed the CNG system as mine was already on the verge of out of warranty. So far, based on my monthly mileage of 2000+km, I am paying about $120 for CNG and $20 of petrol for warm up and occassional run on petrol.

that's good saving.

Looks like it was the CNG that choked the fuel injection. I heard that many taxi drivers driving the PI CNG cabs face the same maintaineance issue and they simply gave up on CNG.

I am not that sure if the savings is worth it.... considering how much one needs to fork out to install CNG.

No, no. CNG do not operate together with petrol injectors. They have their own sequential injectors, once CNG is operational, the petrol injectors shut.
Most taxi drivers are complaining about the queuing time, but today a 44 pump station at Toh Tuck is opened.

I just called up AS Defu to injuire. I told them that my Latio cannot start due fuel pump problem. They said that if my warranty is over, they can order the fuel pump from TC and do for me. So you should have gone to AS (or any outside workshop) actually to get the fuel pump done. You could buy the fuel pump from TC yourself and bring there. I don't think they will ask you to uninstall the CNG. You could have saved so much and didn't even need to tow your car. (Fuel pump very easy to change nia. My old mechanic took less than 30 mins to change the fuel pump of my ex Toyota Corona. Well, don't know about Latio though). And by the way, me also averages 2,000km per month. My monthly fuel expenses is around $120. Not on CNG though, but Malaysian Mobil 97.
