checking new tyres
foofam77:
will be buying new tyres soon...intend to stick to stock 185/65/R15.
looking at either Hankook or Falken ZE912 now...hoping can find good lobang..
3 questions:
1) how do i check the tyres' manufacture dates to ensure i am getting brand new tyres?
2) how do i check the country of manufacture?
3) what's the market price for wheel alignment/re-balancing after the tyres change?
pls kindly advise. thank you
Ying:
1 & 2) http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html
3) balancing - FOC, alignment - $40~$60
with the wheel taken off the car can do the following if you have the time and interest:
a) weigth your rim and the new tyre for future reference.
b) ask them to check absorber, check wheel bearing. should be FOC.

Hankook Optimo K415 should be $88 each...

Saw in today's papers. Brand new Continental Comfort Contact 1. 185/65R15 only $80 each. Stamford Tyres.
I think Continental is more superior.
