« on: October 21, 2009, 09:29:55 PM »
Bros

My car's cup holder cover "below the head unit" cant seem to pop up when depressed. It just stays there and i need to manually flip it up and make it stay opened

the catch still works tho but just cant spring open like before ... anyone encountered this before ? any tips to share to recover this ?

Thanks in advance

i had same problem as u.....the plastic catch inside the cup holder is broken.....

had it replaced at TCM...cost is $84 for cup holder & labour $60 (waited 2mths for stock to come in)......labour exp cos difficult to take out......but I have learnt how to do so.....

or u can order from online....at www.japanparts.com......the response by them is fast & good....

yup....actually I think can find 1 spring to hook it to other area....but to remove the cup holder need to take out the whole center console from top panel till cig. lighter area....

but basically it is all clips & screws.....which can DIY but take time....
