What make you think so...they even steal Produa Kancil....unless your latio is worst than a Produa Kancil lor... :D

It happened to my friend's Proton Wira... about 6 years car... she parks in front of a tyre shop for overnight. of cos, she lock her car with multiple locks. Steering locks, gear lock...etc... but she founds her old proton wira is gone the next day morning.  :glare:

if drive up north is about security, I think our latio is still safe cos they might not able to drive away your car as we using ikey (immobilizer). The minor lost is they break your side mirror then steal something (so make sure not valuable things explore inside the car). The worst case is they tow away your car. ::)

Anyway, where you heading "milkshake"?

wantanmee:
I drive to JB the 3rd day i got my ride. Buy a steering lock, the owner say this actually is to show the "thief" you need another 5 more min to get this car, think it again  :D. To prevent tow away, I think park head in and turn your wheel is a good way to  :devil2:

haha...wantanmee is smart. :D
Apply a steering lock do scare the "theif" that he need anohther few mins more to steal your car but in the same time, if anything happened surround your car (let said "robber" force in while you open your car)..you need few more mins to start/move your car. :bleh:

If you compare how Singaporean parking and Malaysia Parking, malaysian prefer to do head in parking but Singaporean prefer with reserve parking.

clarence:
Malaysia, particularly Johore is filled with lots of illegal and jobless immigrants from Malaysia and Indonesia and they would not hesitate to steal your car in order to make ends meet.

LaChio:
Me been driving in since day one because I don't believe in paying exorbitant prices for our local petrol. Up till now, my car more than 4 yrs old liao and nothing happened.

Just exercise common sense. Keep low profile, don't attract unnecessary and unwanted attention. Don't go to or park at quiet or deserted places. Keep car in stock conditions, no fierce looking body kits and stickers. If they are determined to steal your car, they will. Steering lock or whatever locks are kachang puteh to professional car thieves. Remember you are driving in a foreign country. Show good road courtesy, the locals will not be shiok if your are too exgressive.
