Full synthetic EOs can be mixed. I ever did with 2+ ltrs of Mobil1 Gold 0W40 with 1 ltr of Castrol SLX 0W30. Car ok, nothing wrong leh.

But you cannot mix full synthetic EO with mineral EO.

For me i am not technically competent in EO and stuffs, so i will always use the same brand of EO.

But i think different viscosity is ok because it only affects how thick your EO will be.

Mobil 5w30 (less thick) + Mobil 5w40 (thicker) = still Mobil, just that after mixing, the EO thickness will be btw w30 and w40?

Having said that, i will still try my best to use the same brand and same thickness la...

I ever mixed 1 quartz of Amsoil with 3 quartz of redline. All are 5w30.
No strange behavior encounter, did that cause the 1 quartz of Amsoil already opened and feel a bit waste if I just throw away.
Check with the technician, he said no problem. Then I just tell him to go ahead and mix them.
