Title: Is steering wheel lock a necessity for travelling up north?
Post by: jliow on March 22, 2010, 11:48:46 PM
Our steering wheels are locked upon engine shutdown, supposedly I were to park it with wheels turned 45 degrees, will having a steering lock be of much use if the car jacker and somewhat enter the car, start the engine without immobilzer and drive my car away?

Good to have as a deterrent.. However it'll will not prevent a determined thief...  The deterrent effect is when he has a choice of a few equally desired car, he may select the one that take lesser effort.  Even malaysian cars have them too..
