Title: Weird Headlight Problem
Post by: alvinloo on September 24, 2010, 11:13:27 PM
Hi guys, just found out that my headlight at passenger side doesn't light up. I thought I so unlucky as I've changed to Osram bulbs about 6-7 months back. But when I do a high beam, it lights up.  :confused1:

Anyone has any idea what I can do to solve this? If it is something simple, I rather do it myself than to go all the way down to TCM.

nothing weird - just a blown bulb

So there are 2 parts in a bulb? The normal beam and the high beam?

Sorry, very new into this whole bulb thing..

Just realised that there's a filament for both low and high beam, and it might also be possible that the fuse for low beam has blown.

very likely your bulb blown. same case for me on the nightbreakers - high beam works on both lamps but normal headlamp beam show one side lighted up only.

looks like its common on the nightbreakers to fail after 7-8 months but IMHO, its a good set of headlamps and hence willing to pay the premium for improved vision.

find bro nakshire, i got mine from him and very pleased with his service!

hehe thanks drixsome!

Yeah Night breakers usually work for about half a year and plus a little bit before they blow. But they do give a huge improvement to visibility.

Another option for you to think of is the philips xtreme power which i do not carry due to the high cost involved. They are durable and of course, money more lor...

If you need any help in headlight replacement, feel free to find me. I will help you out with my best of knowledge. :D:D
