Dear guys
I need some help here.
My coolant seems to be dropping.
Remember that one month ago after servicing was still at 'MAX' but now it is at halfway between 'Max' and 'MIN"
Anyone can suggest to me where to buy coolant ( hope to be the best one)
Dun know much about cars
Thanx :confused1:

Mine is at the halfway mark too, not a problem, just make sure it doesn't go to low. Topping up with plain water will do.

OIC..
Thanx for the reply..
I thought need to buy special 'coolant' to top up.
Thanx ;D

jeff is right. water will do. i used to think that coolant reservoir was only for coolant. later on i was told if the coolant was too concentrated also no good. something like will "eat" into the metal parts of the radiator.

juz wonder where does the water goes to.
Thought that the cooling system is a "closed system". We have a pressurised cap and definitely there will be no way water can be "lost".
Maybe should go for a pressure test the radiator for any leakage.

Should be due to evaporation la....

When the water gets heated up, pressure builds up in the system and in order to reduce the pressure, water is being released into the reservoir, if the reservoir water is too full, it will overflow, that's where the water go.

hi, just bought used latio (age 3yr now) 2mths ago...and seem like my coolant is always at max (-> no change at all)...unlike my previous coe car, corrolla aged 16.5yrs, which every 1 ~ 2 mths need to top up water liao (is this normal for latio)..
**by the way, noticed latio only has 2 indicators for temperature, eg Blue & Red...is there any indication that the temperature is going up but not really at too high level yet (eg. like my old car, with analog gauge, if needle go up 2/3 or 3/4 already considered high liao)?

latio special. dont eat coolant because its a "new car"
coe cars tend to drink coolant so no worries.
as for temp gauge, no worry. see red, means siao liao. need to cool down. see blue, means must make it warm.
no worries k. nowadays technology very good. so good that electronics always spoil. hehehehe
