Hi,
Recently my car experienced very slow pickup, rpm stuck at 2000, speed at 60km/h. Need to floor the accelerator to bring speed.
upon slowing car, can feel strong / vibration and jerk. It was quite bad cos one of the small wheelcap (the small cap with the Nissan logo) of the front sport rim drop off!!
Anyone faced such problem before? Please advise. :confused1:
Thanks

hi GUNNER ,ur front brake is jamed ,that is the caused of ur car to feel laggy and the heat causes ur rim cover to drop off. :weep:

hi..
yup. initially after test drive. mechanic said brake jammed.so he jack the car n put gear in neutral.tyre can't turn at all..but after the tyre was removed , (the part with four studs - I duno the name), was able to turn! after that, he dismantled the brake caliper and that it was jam with dirt and rust.. he clear up a bit and lubricate it. fixeverythingeverythg n go for test drive..bck to normal..
any idea, y this could happen? was told that during routine brake shoe chge, this chk on the caliper is not done.. the dirt got accumulated in there.. is this correct?
I was charged $20. so far

so far I monitor since Saturday.. everything normal...

didn't he check ur caliper's dust cover ,is it torn :confused1:normally is the dust cover torn ,water and brake dust gets into the piston that caused the piston to get rusty, this in turn causes the jamed.
