I realised that if i dun have the ikey detected. Its still can drive.

Ya, i also realised that. The sensor will jus beep and indicate that the key is undetactable but the car still can continue driving, not sure how far though, cos i only drive it into the parking lot.

Thought immobiliser should cut the engine when the car try to move forward without sensing the key? At least that's what my previous alarm used to do on my previous car. Not very sure about Latio.

Someone pls advise.

key no longer in car will have the Icon blinking only. Can drive until u off the engine =]

I thought without the immobilizer cannot start the engine unless insert key in.

Car will only try to detect the ikey whenever it starts up. Once started, the engine will continue to run (with or without key) till you off it.

yes. even experience once when the key is not detected after starting all the way frm sg to jb. although the key is somewhr in the back seat but the battery could be weak. the red icon at your speedo will only keep flashing and have a beep sound only when u close and open door. other than that it is not possible to know whether is thr a ikey in the car.
