Hi All
Just completed inspection for my 5yrs old sedan at Bukit Batok Vicom. Below is the feedback for your awareness:
- pole light white color - failed
- license light white color - failed
- reverse light white color - failed
They failed my inspection due to the above. Had some argument with them but eventually need to change though they agree i need not pay for re-inspection. So quickly
drove to AutoAid who help me replace these lights. Time was wasted here so beware of these. I had the same setup and inspected there 2 yrs ago but they didnt fail inspection. Looks like they are very particular on these white lights now.

serious? i thought it is very common? any other bros have face the same issue? mine coming soon next month :(
-
i juz passed my 5th year inspection, no problem at all. My lights are all stock, very lasting.

Try STA .. So far i went ther no problem.. Mine pole light white n reverse light also white..
-
I went to Ayer Rajah STA few week ago for my inspection 5 yr old sedan also, all stock.
Done within 10min. I chose STA heard that they are not too strict as Vicom. Hope this help

STA was in the act of bribery last year. Inspector jailed also. Don't want to be implicated by their sub standard inspection.

Seconded that :) Mine was like Tomyamboi and on top of that it is LED. Passed inspection and was told to change within 7 days.

sorry to tell all members, all white lights are not allowed .those that passed their inspection with these light bulb are lucky.the inspector just close one eye only.

I passed my at Vicom Changi in Feb but was told to get my pole light changed back to original, I guess you had 3 that's why they fail you.

hey bros am i rite to say dat inspection is carried out on the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th year of the lifespan of a car in sgp? aftwhich when coe is renewed it will be a yearly affair?

for cars less than 10yrs, it is once every 2 years meaning 1,3,5,7,9......usually u dun do 1st year personally as it has been done prior to your car collection
for cars above 10yrs, it is done annually....

From LTA website :

1st time that I heard of this inspection at year 0
PDI is pre-delivery inspection and is conducted by the agent (not LTA) before releasing the car to the buyer
