replaced fan belt last week at outside workshop, now when engine start, there is a short "ji" sound from engine compartment, suspect from the belt.
just wondering, after belt replacement, any alignment or adjustment need to do?
-
You need to go back the workshop and tighten the belt.

Normal, most workshop do not over tighten the belt during initial installation, just go back like robtan99 mentioned.
-
thanks for the info?
BTW, any gauges for the belt tension during installation? it is harmful when the belt is loose?
-
Loose belt causes squeaky sound in the mornin when engine is cold, get it adjusted to the right tension & everytin will be fine
-
For my case, it also occurs when the engine is cold like in the morning.

I hear a "ti" sound when I switch on the air con. Is this normal?

Wait till when your compressor is a few years old and you will start hearing the breathing sound in the cabin. (When the compressor cut in and out)
yes that is normal.cause compressor cut in that caused that "ta "noise
