thanks in advance!
-
been using Esso 5000 occasionally Caltex 98
-
SPC 98- Bad power, bad consumption, loud engine
Shell 98 - Decent power, best consumption amount all, smooth quiet engine
Shell V Power - Very good power, O.K consumption, smooth but slightly louder engine
ESSO 8000 - Good power, good consumption, smooth engine
Been using ESSO 8000 'cause of the results of the fuel and the discounts i get, it's the best balance to me. If Shell had very good credit card discounts like ESSO i would be pumping Shell 98
-
Er.. U tried using 95..? Any review...?
-
I've been using 95 all along, for my latio and for my previous ride (Stream). For me, it's gd enough for me. Although compared to V power, of coz V power will be much smoother and gives me a better FC but the price diff, in the end makes no much diff. So i'll only pump V power whn I goes to Ipoh and in Msia, to cleanse the engine once in a while. If not, for me 95 is gd enough.
-
I pump either Caltex 92 or Shell 95. FC for both abt 13km/litre.
I tried Esso 92 & 95, Caltex 92 & 95 plus Shell 95 for 6 months when i first bot my car. No diff at all so i just stick to cheapest.

Personally i believe its all in a package, gd petrol, gd engine oil, gd spark plugs, gd tyres & with regular maintenance of ur vehicle makes drivin more pleasurable & enjoyable...
As for petrol, i believe it all depends on individual & also how deep ur pockets are...
If wanna pamper ur car pump V-power or Techron platinum but for latio ron 92 or 95 is good enuff oledi

Any petrol should be good enough for our latio. I personally use Esso 98 for its power. Felt slow with 95.

Esso 8000 and Esso 5000 almost achieve same mileage..
-
been using esso 5000 since 2006. so far so good. latio is just a normal japs car not sport or turbo engine dun really need 98 unless u got $$ to burned.
-
ya 95 grade is good enough, pump v-power oso wont make ur latio fly faster. The only difference is ur right leg..
-
so I presume SPC is bad FC lah.
Been pumping cos with POSB card, got 15% discount.
-
If u live near Serangoon or Geylang , the 2 Shell stations there got vouchers for 15% plus if u use UOB credit cards got another 5% rebate so this is 20% discount total.
-
I am using esso 5000, occasionally i will use 8000. For esso 8000, can fell abit more power when pickup. Mileage is almost the same.

Pump Esso and with DBS Esso card on top of station discount all add up I think 18%. But honestly this petrol companies are really making tonnes of money since they can afford to give up to so much discount, I heard some cards even more then 20%. Why not just drop the price down.

i have been using Esso 92 all this while...so far no problem..achieving FC 14.5 to 15+, 70% highway driving, All Stock.

I always pump Esso 95.Smooth ride + good mileage.
I travel 70% expressway. Average 14.5km/l. Best can reach 15+ a bit km/l.
-
I pump Esso 95. 70% highway(peak hours), on 16inch rims. So far acheiving 13km/L. Best average for engine smoothness and power also.
-
using esso 85. on 16" rims. Im a heavy footer.. 70% expressway doing 100-120 if condition allows. using "sport" mode when in the mood. 11 km/L . able to achieve 13km/L when i behave....

Using it and find the engine response is improved as compared to previous formula.
-
Using it for the first time. Now I feel the car feels smoother when the gas is depressed.
