Shdn't be a prob. My ride's previous owner installed HID on the front and fog lights, and I have been driving the car for close to a year  and nothing happened so far.

Hi,

I installed HIDs for about a year. Reflectors slightly 'burnt'/blur near area where the light reflects from above where the bulb located. As for the headlight housing it remains as clear as before installing the HIDs.
Cheers

Hi!

Thanks for your reply. How about fog light? the bulb is very near to the cover and the space is very small. So i very the heat build up tremendously and damage it.  :confused1: will it?

So far my ride's lamp cover ok leh. But I just changed back to yellow bulbs coz one of the headlights HID ballast has blown and about to send my car for inspection so I changed the headlights plus fog lights back to yellow

Hi,

just realised that the reflector having burnt/ blur marking when i sent to workshop to repair water sippage into headlight. this burnt mark will affect the light throw pattern. the light beam seem not so focus. When first installed, still can see \__ \__. now cant see liao.

my bro oso using HID but without this issue. No burnt mark on his reflector. the color temperature (6000K, 8000K) anything to do with the temperatue of the beam (eg 6000k is hotter, 8000k is cooler)?

Thanks.

Dun think there is a difference between 6000k and 8000k in terms of temperature - degrees C. Most likely the position of the bulb. My reflectors got slightly burnt after using HIDs for a year. Now changed to back to normal bulb. Still have got the \__ \__. But when using HIDs, no matter how i adjust, only left side got \__.
