Title: water gushing sound behind dashboard upon start

Hi,

Anyone ever encounter a water gushing sound , like coming from a water pipe, upon start of the vehicle?

guess ur latio should be Yr05 or 06 model....and it is only during cold start......right?

had this problem previously (sounds like water boiling).....lubricated the motor for opening & closing air vent at top console panel..need a long stick to do so as the space is tight...no more such sound since done it 2yrs ago....

iirc, TCM knows of this issue......as this was what the workshop understand when he called his "friend" in TCM....cos we suspect it to be the water pipe for heater element......TCM even asked me to do top overhaul as suspect gasket blown that why got bubbles in coolant !

Mine is 07 model, recently went for 80k servicing ... Sound only during cold start ,Check with AS and they say got air as such they flush back the radiator and put new coolant, now monitoring

I'm having this problem too.. Hissing and water gushing sound.. Think will have to ask ws to check this issue next servicing..  :(

check your coolant level maybe very little need to top up, the mech say coolant less also will cause the watery sound

Did flush radiator coolant also but did not help......

My apologies for reviving this old thread.

Last night my ride also experienced this water gushing sound hence wondering whats the problem?

Any bros managed to find the root of the problem?

check my earlier thread on this issue...since lubricating the motor, no more such noises for few years....
