Title: COOLANT LEVEL DROP
Post by: xman13 on December 05, 2011, 04:17:51 PM
I want to know wether anyone have this issue. My latio coolant level have a drop from full to mid level.
Did my servicing at 140k and tested no leakage, but now at 146k it has drop to more than 1/2 level.
Again to sign of leakage. Aircon working fine. No funny sound. Any issues that i should be worried about?
Car is almosy 6years old. Running fine.

I notice this for my latio too, just that it stayed at the mid level for a long time liao. I thought that since it didn't drop further, I will leave it. But I do remember it used to be at the full level and hardly dropped.

coolent level drop in between max and min is quite normal from this svc to the next svc if you do not top up the expansion tank.this is because it will evapourate when engine is hot.

Should be leaking. Check the piping joints for leaks or any white stains.
Normally the water in the tank wont drop unless over heat .

I see, so it is normal.... I don't see any leak no greenish stain. Last servicing the mechanic also check and confirm no leak.
