Title: Newbie... squealing sound from aircond

Hellow lations, just bot a 2nd hand dec 06 latio. However there is this on and off squealing sound from the aircond.... any one face this prob before? Appreiate any help on this...thanks

compressor uplorry?

the squealing sound will be there even if the aircon is off.
mine behave this way, thats why I thought its the timing belt/chain, but TCM mechanic tells me its the compressor.
