Hi Nissan users,
1) Was wondering if it is good buying a second hand Latio around 3yrs used, with STA certified "A". Interiors & exteriors of the cars is very well kept.
Any particular points to look at, suggestions & guidance we very welcome.
2) Also as I understand, Latio is no more sold in Singapore, will there be a problem in spare parts if I intend to use it for 4-5 yrs,
3) and if the discontinuation will effect the resale say If I upgrade after 3-4 yrs?
Thanks

i think there are still lots of latio in the market, so spares shouldn't be an issue especially since almera(replacing latio) is also using the same engine.
and frankly speaking, if you buy a 3 years old latio, selling it 3-4 years later, meaning the car already 7 years old, resale value then :crycry:

One of the most common issues for Latios is air con compressor issue. You might also want to flush and change your gearbox oil, if your latio is using CVT gearbox.

yup, i agree.
the latio aircon compressor seem to last about 3-4 years, meaning you might need to change it after warranty at least once during your 10 years of ownership.
but at $500++, still manageable.

I intend to drive all the way till 10yrs......if COE never go down.. :unsure:
Consider I'm lucky or what I got my used ride after 20mths and now already 3 yrs. ;) ;)

Latio is definately a good buy. I bought a 4 yr + car with low mileage. Am very happy with its performance. Pick-up really good (within seconds can hit 60), quiet engine, fuel efficient and many more. Only set back is when going over hump have to really slow down. On rough road ride can be bumpy! Anyway for a 1.5L car it is a best buy!
