I installed mine at erev motor in northlink building at sembawang area. Got the transparent one as it is said to last longer. I would suggest not to get from autobac the red one as the worker at erev did allow me to compare the brand autobac carry which is the jinke and it seems to be very soft. I got the transparent one for $80 per pair including installation which i tink is a good deal.

The installer told me would be able to last at least till the end of my coe which is ard 3.5yrs later. Regarding the curb hitting issue it will depends, some of the lower curb which i hit previously is able to clear but not those higher ones.

I've been using the spring stiffeners for about 6 years.
I had the red-coloured ones.
It does help to reduce the squat a little after going over humps.
But still gotta go slow to avoid bottoming-out.
