Post by: tsc2828 on June 24, 2014, 10:26:53 AM
Go to service my car last week and was told that rear shock absorber up lorry already.....

Anyone know to to check because I don't feel anything while driving.

Moreover, they told me must change all front and rear absorber and can get a good deal at TC

Is it necessary

Try to exert pressure onto your boot, press down and see the absorber reaction, good ones will bounce back instantly, another thing you can see whether the shock is leaking.

Think the only way to feel is to go drive pass hump. The bounce shouldn't be great. Mine also rear 2 up lorry (got leak).
But if you press the rear bonnet,  think should not hear any sound right?

Looking at where got sell shock absorber.
Anyone has any ideal where to buy or any recommendation.

I changed shock absorbers for my 7 year old ride from Tan Chong. Before changing I noticed the ride was getting harsh. Can feel the road. The braking distance was longer. The car was like charging forward even step on brake. After changing I can feel the brake and the car is easy to stop. The braking distance is shorter. Handling is better.

One thing I don't like the bouncing when driving over uneven expressway. Before changing it was like no cushion. But now I feel like too much cushion. Is it supposed to be like this or latio is just like that.
