Title: Installing Strut Bar
Post by: sengkang on November 30, 2006, 01:59:27 PM
Hi, currently very curious about strut bar installations.
Looking at only front strut bar for now.
Anyone here who installed it yet? Care to share on the effect after installation?
Current offerring of Tiida Strut bar @ S$100 only is very attractive!
Had checked with around & found most of them are about  S$200 & above.

Installing the strut bar.... does it void the warranty?
Why would anyone install such?  Does it really improve the chassis rigidity of a car?
If so, why isn't all cars come with the bar?
Views please.  Thanks

Let the bro/sis here answer you on the technical part..... as for warrantry, CFM, CHOP, SIGN, GUARRANTEE, WARRANTY.... won't void...... many bro/sis send in their car fitted with Struct Bar (including me) to service at TCM, have not heard kena void warranty.... I guess there are thousand and one thing one can add to the ride, so to keep cost low, car manaufacturer cannot and will not add everything.... also like that outside shop tan boh jai liao....  :devil2:

yes, its from Bro Critical.
If I am not wrong, its found in the Buy & Sell side, titled "....Strut Bar"
Bro Killies also bought from him. Although quality not that great in terms of outlook, its function remains the same.
So Its value for money.

why nobody install ultra racing bars? its not good?

could be due to weight cos is made of steel.  Alutec is lighter . made of aluminium weight 1.5kg only . so fc will not affected

cheers

I look for material used and design, not the brand. Weight diff is too small to make a difference, go toilet first and you offset the weight difference.

on material:
http://xnet3.uss.com/auto/steelvsal/basicfacts.htm

on design:
I go for single piece, no moving part.
Alu have weaker welding strenght, may be that's why they use 2 pieces design.
