Hi Bro/Sis, wonder what is the usual practise in stepping on the left foot brake. Do you usually step 1-click, 2-clicks or all the way? If step all the way, will it do any damage (or cause faster wear and tear) to the car? I used to step 2-clicks.
Thanks for sharing.

I tink any amount of click is ok... The damage will be there only when u try to drive when brake is still on. Then again only wear your brake pad wat. Cheers
-
IMHO, it doesn't cause wear n tear unless u move off when brake stil engaged.
But good to step all the way as a habit during parking.Especially if parked on slope/incline then step all the way, release n feel your car doesn't roll down/back.
Else later car go down slope faster then driver..... :bleh:...just kidding

i still like hand brake... was like an octopus when i drive up old carpark.... park car too far from ticket machine... press brake cum footbrake. alight to insert cash card... when returned, i step left foot brake n right brake then press accelerator quickly.... ;D

Yeap Bro Eclaire, miss those days with MT :crycry:, can cheong :devil2:
But now, jus enjoy the comfort and elegance of drive steady and safely lau.... :yehyeh:

Normal parking, i usually step 1 click, if on slope will step 2 - 3 clicks
I am assuming that more clicks = harder brake :bleh: :bleh:, if i am wrong, bros let me know hor!!

Thanks to all for sharing.
I also experience a difference when park on slope. If I step all the way, I find it easier to shift the gear from P to D. Otherwise, the shift from P to D needs to use some force. Not sure if anyone else experience this.
Thanks again.

Always try to move near to pay m/c whenever possible. that way, u won't have to come down car. if u near the pay m/c, u have to practice it without yr footbrake. we r driving auto,be it cvt or 4at so the tendency to fall back is minimum.
-
I just use my foot to depress the foot brake until I hear 5 clicks.
-
lol.... more than 1 year ago dead thread you still can bring it up to surface.... think the TS gone to no where liao.

Actually it's good to have footbrake. Can use the space which otherwise occupied by the handbrake. But unfortunately, the designer for Latio didn't seem to make good use of that space. I would have very much preferred the full box type arm rest which can store much more things.
