Title: Reverse Sensor too sensitive
Post by: darrylker on April 27, 2008, 11:59:29 PM
Hi guys I have a query on our reverse sensor system:

A couple of days ago, while reversing to park at my usual slot, my reverse sensor sounded out rapidly onced I engaged the 'R' gear. I checked my rear mirror and saw no barriers. Usually even when parking in-between 2 cars, the sensor won't be so rapid unless its very close.

Then today, I parked head-in to drop off some things for my parents, when I reversed out, the sensor sounded rapidly again. There was no cars beside or behind me!

I understand that our reverse sensor system has 4 stages (the slow beep, the fast beep, the faster beep and the continuous one). Think my reverse sensor too sensitive or faulty.

Any bros /sis faced this problem before? Is it covered with warranty with TC?  :confused1:

me having this issue too, then I look very ******** coz parking halfway jam brake, others see me like dun know how to park

The sensor seems to sense the sides too if too close.

But sometimes the sensor BOBO one. 2 occastions the object at dead center, never sense, then I bong it, lucky the little hum i kena not very obvious, got one time bong a small tree also

Dun rely too much on this sensor, no good, see mirror better

i complain abt the resverse sensor during servicing. They did adjustment. I complain again, the claim to have changed the sensor. But still same problem. Everytime reverse have to open the door and put my head out. Looks at ********.

Am thinking of getting a rear camera to solve this problem.

Hmmm, seems like this prob is 'popular' among us. Maybe have to use our 'original' way of parking w/o any sensor, juz use mirror & pop head outta wiondow!!! :w00t:

hahaha...i steady one bro...me open door and bend out far far and look behind to reverse  :bleh:..anyway, sensor is just a guide, end of the day, we still need to use our own skills and exp to gauge the situation and enviroment.....but it does serve it purpose most of the time lah...
