Title: Replacing our stock car battery
Post by: darrylker on April 28, 2008, 10:35:25 PM
Hi all,

I've replaced my stock car battery from TC (GreenSaver) to Bosch from my father in-law's workshop. Realised that this is a much better brand, i.e. durable and long lasting, so wanna share this offer to all lations too  :D

I've started a tread under the Commercial Promotion & Offering for those interested in changing your car battery.

That's the feedback given by the regular customers from the workshop, I'll try out & give my 0.002 cents worth.  ;)

Bosch is typically a branded battery and is known to be a lasting battery. but i will go with one with a high AH though... my 2cents...

Hmm... tot that FOC battery is only within first year of warrenty period ? Second year will need to pay 50% ? If free within the 3 years warrenty, will change before it expires.

What I know is within 1st year Free, within 2nd year pay 50%, within 3rd year pay 75%.  Beyond 3rd year, no discount.  TCM not ******** also.  They will check to ensure that battery dying then change.  If they check that battery is fine and customers request change, pay full cost.

Any idea how much does it cost for the full price ? If around $70-80 and can last for 2 years, why getting the $130 for the 35AH Bosch battery and also last for 2 years ?

Maybe maintenance free, but for us just let the mechanic top up our battery water every 6 monthly right ?

Hi there,

You do have a point. Guess its personal preference in terms of changing the car battery to maintenance-free to top-up regularly  ;)

I don't think this is the case, esp for 2nd and 3rd yr since you are paying partially for the battery too.
