Hi,
Can I check whether using the Citibank Dividend card at Esso entitles us to a total discount of 8% + 5% (station discount)?
Thanks.
-
I think it's 5% Station discount + 3% card rebate leh..
-
it is 5% (station) + 5% (rebate) + 3% (citi promo with esso)
so let's say u pump $100... you pay $95.. you get back $95 * 0.05 as you dividened rebate and you get back $95*0.03 deduction off your credit bill also.
-
Oh man.. I din noe.. Wasted this good % for a few months liao.. So I guess Esso currently gives the best discount. Shall go pump at Esso now instead of Caltex which only gives 10% discount.
-
:scared: :scared: :scared:
I didn't know using Citi Dividened Card still have extra discount wor. Still going on now? :confused1: :bleh:
-
Wah . 3 % more is a lot. Like this must change to Esso Mobil liao. Was going to terminate the card now cannot liao.

Same as me. LOL :zipped: I thought of switching to another station tho. :D
-
I think cannot use the dividend card... so no extra 5%...
See citibank... http://www.citibank.com.sg/SGGCB/APPS/portal/loadPage.do?tabId=Credit%20Cards&path=/prod/det/cc_xx_ess.htm

Means we got to show Smiles and privilege card?
Station is giving 5% and Smiles card (got discount or not), then Privilege another 3%? =8% only.
Am I wrong?
Tiger DBS card can give me 10% (i think) :confused1: :confused1: :confused1:
-
Aeh.. confused liao.. me mathematically challeneged one leh .. :bleh:
So if using this Citibank Esso/mobile easi pay card we should only get 5% (Station discount) + 3% addtional nia right?

Oh... then I'm mistaken then... so we're entitled to 13% just by using Citibank Dividend's card?

i have been pumping with ESSO + dividend card for last 4 pumps
don't have the 3% additional
u will get only 5% site discount + 5% cash rebate for using dividend
-
Yes confirmed. Citibank DIV gives u additional 5% rebate on the balance of the bill after station 5% discount. So actually, you get slightly < 10% in all.
For Esso, better to use DBS Esso Card, get immediate 10% off bill. Don't need to wait for rebate cheq. ;D

5% off $10 = $0.50
Bill = $9.50
5% rebate on $9.50 = $0.475
Total discount = $0.975 = 9.75% discount! ;)

on top of 9.75%, there's an additional 3% rebate tat will be reflected on ur credit card bill. so its 12+%. ;)

I don't think there is any additional 3% after getting 5 + 5 on Dividend Card. I believe you are referring to the + 3% for the Esso Mobil Privilege Card by CitiBank? Normally, they will not overlap credit card benefits.
Quote from Citibank site "You will get an additional 3% discount on Synergy fuel ON TOP OF the prevailing station discount, or a minimum discount of 6% *, whichever is higher.
If the prevailing station is offering 10% discount, you will enjoy 13% discount on Synergy fuel when you use your Esso Mobil Privilege Card. When the station is offering Synergy fuel discounts less than 6%, you will still enjoy a minimum of 6% discount."
More info here: http://www.citibank.com.sg/SGGCB/APPS/portal/loadPage.do?tabId=Credit%20Cards&path=/prod/det/cc_xx_ess.htm
We can't use both Div & the Priviledge card together anyway.
-
erm.. i got mine promo 3% off in my credit bill... using dividened card to pay not ESSO citibank card.. but this 3% is seasonal..subject to promotion period only.. .think the current one will end on 31st May... else normal days without this special promo is onyl 5 + 5..

Oh I C. Use back OCBC on Caltex better, straight 10% discount on the bill. :D
-
went to pump esso today.
Citi did have 3% discount but I didn't listen properly when the cashier told me the promo will stop end of mth. What she told me is 8%, 5+3. I guessed that she didn't know I had smiles card. So 13% should be there but had to rebate when bill come. (I hope I am right...)
Using Esso is straight 10% discount from the Esso.
