Hi all fellow lations, I noticed that most of you used esso or shell, I'm using spc at the moment due to card discounts ::)
Just wondering is there any reason why fewer pple are pumping from spc?
-
me too a SPC user due to cash discount. According to the guy working in the refinery that produce the product for SPC, SPC product no additive at all. But me don't mind .

it is the BEST when come to discount but i do heard that the "power" of SPC petrol not very good leh..
so will get quite lousy FC aka waste money on petrol = $gain from discount ==> no gain
do you have this experience?
-
me driving a latio premium , me having a heavy right foot. still can get 13 to 14 KM/L
-
I am also using SPC due to cash rebate. But recently during a follow up call from my SE, she told me to use either shell or esso if i wanna achieve good mileage. Currently i am getting ard 10.5 to 11.5km/l (mostly on city driving).
She claimed that latio work well with either 1 but certainly not SPC.
-
I've been on SPC 92 like forever... No problems so far :devil2: FC 14.5km/l with my Latio Sports :devil2: :devil2:
-
used to pump SPC (Ron95), FC is fine arh... changed to another brand due to BETTER discounts... :bleh:
SPC may offer slightly better immediate cash discount/rebate, but gotta really clock up the monthly bill (very tough sia). :zipped:

Clocking up monthly bill got trick one: the discount card not linked to a particular vehicle... Can have several vehicles using the same card. Either give them the card number (last 6 numbers) or the previous receipt for the SPC card can liao... Being doing that for my family and getting 8% each time :devil2:

was always on shell 95. normally got 450KM-500KM when light up. last time got better discount so try 2 tank of SPC, one is 400KM and another is 420KM. so have no way. now trying ESSO to see how may It will go.
-
Actually i also notice that my FC is slightly lower compared to Shell, so it true then... but pumping shell will cost much more as they only give me 5% discount, i only hv the POSB card. :(

Personally, I've tried on all 4 types of 95 grade petrol for my prev ride of 7 yrs (Caltex, SPC, Mobil/Esso & Shell). Don't really feel the difference in power, just that fuel consumption slightly lower for SPC.
Currently on Shell due to UOB reward & maybe brand preference...(must be watching too much F1!) :out:
-
Never pumped ******** Petroleum Company before. An avid Caltex supporter here.
-
I'm a frequent SPC user as it gives the best discount for me. With POSB Everyday card, I get 12% off the pump rate.
-
I only pump SPC95 all this while for my ride. Previously tried other brands for other rides, but finally settled on SPC. I'm also using SPC Engine Oil too... So...
-
Was using spc 95 initially but today i pump full tank of 92 to try out as many says no diff... plus petrol gone upz again... :crycry:
will update you guys on the millage soon.
-
I use Shell 95 all the way since I get my latio. So far so good. Full tank can hit 520km.
:yehyeh:
-
I got 440km mileage using 1st tank of 92, no diff from 95 for me...

:yehyeh:
Same here bro...personal preference for Shell95 & has been giving quite good FC since getting my ride....sometimes I do go for Caltex Techron...best tank abt 600km as cruising from Tamp to Tuas daily...average of abt 450 - 500km... :yehyeh:
-
after 9 months and usually pump spc95, my fc is hitting ard 12.5km/l average. how to get better fc to near 14km/l?
recently changed to synthetic 5w30

I'm also using SPC Engine Oil too... So...
SPC Engine Oil? Heard some talk quite some time back that Fastflo is actually SPC product....

I am not surprised if Fastflo is actually a rebranded SPC product.
Noticed that the free petrol vouchers given out by Tan Chong for test drive is SPC voucher too.
But I personally do not like SPC petrol as it gives very poor mileage and the engine sounds rough on SPC.
-
Started with Caltex 95, later SPC 95, and now being pumping SPC 92 for a couple of month. I don't seem to find any difference between them in terms of mileage.
-
If you read your owner manual, you will see that it recommends at least 95RON petrol to enhance performance even though Latio minimum RON requirement is 91RON.
-
I use SPC cos it gives discount and if use POSB card got cash rebate..... now have $300 over with me... hehe
-
Citibank Dividend card gives 5% cash rebate at any petrol station (Shell, SPC, Caltex), and 8% at Esso.
-
Me me...
a die hard SPC user cos it gives me a total of 14.5% discount.... when I combine the SPC card with my POSB Everyday card which gives me a 5% rebate....
also, now they 40th anniversary = AMK got $2 off for $30 pump.
and that day when radio announce they are giving away petrol vouchers I rushed down and kena $100 vouchers free......
-
Me too..
a die hard SPC user cos it gives me a total of 12.5% discount using amex.... user of ron 92.... makes no diff to me

Used Esso and SPC for previous car which is well maintained, end result? Car feels constipated after some mileage done on SPC.
Nvr try on this new Latio, dare not try anymore also... No offence. :)
-

for me... SPC 92 seems to get slightly better FC (12.5km/h) as compare to when i use Caltex 92 (12 or 11km/h) ... but not much significant diff
discount wise.. currently my OCBC @ Caltex is 12% and SPC is 12.5%... also not much difference
aka.... sama sama
-
I used SPC mainly cos of the discount. Since got 3 members say got FC remain, I see try it out next tank.
-
SPC got new National day discount $2 off for $40, after all your discount.
