thanks for sharing.  I think is great to remove 15kg of load (spare tyre) from the car.  car shd be lighter and and the driving must be very shiok man. cheers

Sup guys, I'm thinking of removing also. Altho i've had first hand experience removing spare tire from a friend's celica (silly-car  :yehyeh:) , I think it's a bit too much of effort if you're gonna get the old tyre repaired anyways.

Where do I get myself a tyre repair kit or air compressor bottle>?

Good idea.
I think shld be 'black' right?
I didn't check my spare tyre, i believe it is important. must chk and pump tyre pressure also.
Anyway, I don't know how to change tyres :(

Actually, to be frank, with CVT.
If we carry 4 adults, 2 kids , or 5 adults (including driver), it's like very shack to move...!!!
This is another sick thing abt CVT.

Means, the car is heavier..
+ 15kg spare tyre load, the whole car might be carrying a 200kg or more
4 adult, for male, may be avg abt 60 to 70kg per person, 4 x 70 = 280kg already.
scary!

Haha, I was like you, don't know how to change tyre initially...but twice kanna punctured tyre along CTE on my prev ride...learn on the spot with help from the EMAS...if you dont wanna worry, can get one of those self-inflate tyres when punctured...can last you to the nearest tyre shop... :bleh:

I think I might remove me spare too, since it is so heavy at 15kg.

But what distance can a punctured tyre be driven after using tyre sealeant to temporary pump it up.

i guess i hv to agree with u too.
coz after remove it, it shld help us to save more fuel.

unless we travel long distance, then we need the spare tyres.

but hard to know when the tyre will puncit.

regards.

Hmmm....I wonder if it is a law in singapore to have a spare tyres....at least in europe...it is an offence to drive without a spare tyre.....as for the smaller spare tyre size....it is ok if they are smaller than the rest of ur wheels....it is mean for u to travel a short distance at a relative slow speed to the nearest workshop to have ur punctured tyre repaired... ;)

Dont' think Singapore got such laws... If I am not wrong, cannot change tires in Tunnel also. Europe not only spare tire. Must have first aid kit and I think a tool kit also.
