Dear all,
Like to know what is the speed for cruising such that its most fuel efficient? 80km/h? :confused1:
-
80-90km/h
-
The lower the rpm at cruising speed, the more fuel efficient the engine is.
-
Crusing rpm between 2-2.5k rpm quite ideal for FC, should be abt 80-90km/h....
-
My rpm at 80km/h is 2000rpm.
-
at 80km/h is 1800 rpm. ( CVT)
-
yo! please keep away from lane 1 when you are at optimum cruising speed or you'll get flashed and honk at. ;D
-
I can get about 2000rpm at 100km/hr...... I do 90% highway with SPC95...so most of the times I can get about 15km/l....
Btw, i belong to the 2000rpm club where we don't ram the engine...neither do we hog the road...we are just your usual "plain Jane" salaryman driver

2000rpm at 100km/h?
Is yours CVT or 4A/T?
-
mine oso 2000rpm at 100km/h.....although sometimes leg itchy hit to 2500rpm but most of time stay within the 2 number zone......
-
Mine is CVT. 1600rpm at 80km/h. 2000rpm at 100km/h. :D

It's CVT...so quite usual for 2000rpm at 100km/hr....and that's why fuel economy is at 15km/l

Mine is 4A/T, abt 2k rpm at 95km/hr... did request TCM to tune my engine during the last servicing... ::)

You mean there is a difference after tuning? I think it's more like a reset than a tuning because tuning involves changing the fuel map and ignition parameters of your ECU. In the old days we just adjust the distributor to advance or retard the timing of the ignition and change the fuel and air jet on the carburetors but don't think this is possible anymore.
