Anyone here using this thingy, and how effective is it? Read about it in some forum and it seems that it's to prolong the life of the battery.
-
I find these after market accessories more like snake oil, just like EZ Stab.
-
I am using it...installed last week. Suppose to prolong your battery life. No Performance gain. Hard to say if it is working. need to wait for about 2 to 3 weeks later. The installer will come over and do a reading and check if there any improvement on the battery.
-
How much does a battery desulfator cost and how long can it prolong or extend battery life?
-
Let us know the effect and once there is good effect to share, share the contact too.
-
How much is one?
I just invested in a emergency jump start machine, no worries for flat battery. Just jump start and drive to workshop immediately.

This type of device, http://www.batterycountry.com/ShopSite/jump-start-devices.html . Mine not exactly the same brand, think it's made in china. Bought from Carrefour, comes with air pump. Autobac also have.
A must have especially for driving to malaysia. Don't want to get stranded in the middle of the highway due to flat battery, and waiting for conman workshop to drive by.

have you tested it?

Didn't have a chance to test it, coz battery not flat yet. But I measured with voltmeter, am getting 12.8V. Guess it's right. Also being using it to pump my tyre, so the battery is alright.

I had one like those. Been carrying one in my trunk since I was in U.S. Had to use it a few times when I forgot to switch off my fogs when I was in the U.S. Works great!
I use it for everything now... Vacuuming to orbital polisher..... No jump start yet (touch wood) because no fogs on my Latio yet... (Keyword... YET)
Only thing is the one I bought here (exactly like the U.S. one), the pump died so I did some surgery to remove it from the battery pack. Bought a separate high flow pump to do the pumping. Much better than the crappy little built in.

The carrefour one with built in air pump not bad. Only a few minutes can pump beyond the spec, quite power. Much better than the dediciated air pump sold by home fix, pump forever still can't reach the spec, only good for pumping my kids bicycle... Anyone wants a secondhand air pump bought from homefixed?

My old one the pump ok. The one I bought in singapore, I used it quite often and the little stick on the inflator valve broke. Managed to canabalise another pump and change it. Then, after a while, cannot reach pressure any more. It was leaking air from the piston. Took it apart and realised the pump is a little plastic piston in some cheap steel chamber. The plastic piston worn from all the pumping...
The pump I have now got replaceable coil tubing and screw on tire fitting. Pumps 210 up to 230 in about 15-20 secs.
I agree the homefix pumps are quite crap..... They are no better than the built in ones.
