Title: Removing sticky residue.

Any bros can recommend how to remove sticky residue without damaging the paintwork ? I manage to remove the word LATIO and as a result there some sticky residue left. Unable to fully clean them. Will using zippo lighter liquid helps?

Have you tired polishing it around with wax?  I know WD-40 can remove those shoe stains on the door.
not sure if it work on the car body.

Not yet bro..was about to do it...then suddenly it rains...so will try to do tomorrow...just wondering if thats fail..any other way...

i think zippo fluid is good in removing those sticky residue. use it on h/p metal cover after removing the sticker. very effective. but hv yet to test it on car painted body yet.

Zippo lighter fluid may damage paintwork.

Use SAF insect repellent instead. Comes in a green 100ml tube.

Didnt know SAF insect repellent so good one..

Bro..i've used zippo liquid and my paintwork never get damage, its been a year and the paint work is still fine..,if u want i can upload the pic here to share.. ;D

try use the car polish shine spray...
when i have small stains on car I normally will spray it on a dry microfibre cloth then wipe the stain area in circular motion....

i dun spray directly on car as the spray will kena other areas... so use cloth is best...

I vote for the car polish as well... there's this car polish/sealant called Hi-Glaze 88... quite good..!  :thumbsup: When I removed a car sticker from my car body, still got the "outline" sticky part, I used it and it did the job...

Thanks to all for the advice. I try waxing...it works...but required some patience..now the residue is gone... now feel abit sianz ...there some scratches at the area now...maybe due to the debadge

You mean the SAF insect repellant can melt through plastic and we used to apply on our skin or army uniform?  :scared:

I think its just the gel solvent they use... It does not evaporate very fast so if you leave a blob there, it stays there slowly dissolving the plastic.  :out:
I think only certain plastic also. My uniform still ok leh.
