Just did my service at autosaver for 70k which is equivalent to TCM Package A.

it is $98 - own engine oil $45 = $53.

By the way both package does not include Tyres rotations, so i think
TCM charge $20, autosaver charge $15 (use nitrogen)

Finally i pay 53 + 15 + 7%gst = $71plus.

hi clarence,

Autosaver uses fully synthetic Rev 1 engine oil. It's their in-house brand, just like Tan Chong's Fasflo.

If you want to use either Mobil 1 or Amsoil, just top up an extra $20, so total servicing cost = $118.

Still cheaper compared to Tan Chong's $180 using their in-house engine oil, Fasflo.  :D

The $62 savings can get you a full tank of 95RON petrol.

Hi clarence,

Meaning i can get Amsoil from Autosaver when I do my servicing there? I don't have to purchase my own b4 going to Autosaver? Meaning autosaver does supply Amsoil aso (upon request?) We topup another $20 to get that?

Regards.

Hi clarence,

Actually, we topup $20 to get 3 bottle of Amsoil or autosaver just responsible to pour amsoil EO to our EO tank till the reasonable level and we dont need to keep the 'backup' amsoil for topping up ourself (if below the level?)

So far, my Mobil1 the spare EO, till now still never use coz the level still at the same level, not reducing!

I just sent my car for servicing 2 weeks ago.

You should have said earlier.   ;D

I never said it's Mobil 1 GOLD.

It is the silver bottle Mobil 1 which is good enough.

It comes with the latest SPI rating.

Hi clarence

Sui... Good answer you have provide.
Is good for Autosaver also as they will always have "balance" in the last bottle for the next car hehe. BUT, if that bottle is OPEN for too long period, no good right?

Thanks.

High turnover of engine oil with their good business.

Workshops buy oil by the drum, not bottle.

3 mth for mioneral oil.

Usually 6 mth for synthetic oil.

I doubt many travel 40,000km a yr to warrant a synthetic oil change every 3 mth.

Hi clarence,

iagree. if 3mth for syn oil, is very costly already as syn oil can last for at least 10km.

If it has been tightly capped, preferably for less than 12 mths, it can still be used.

Try not to mix mineral or semi-synthetic with full synthetic oil.

One should not choose engine oil based on the brand but based on the specs, like the flash point etc. instead.

Mobil 1 has one of the highest specs.

Surprisingly, Shell Helix Ultra specs is on the low side.
