Just checked the spec on TC website. It's 45 litre.
There was once I pump petrol; looked at the receipt and it was 44.x litres. Have a shock of my life. Imagine if it can't find petrol station within the next 3 km or so, then i have to "push car" liao.
Once, I exiting tampines mall carpark with fuel warning light on. As i pressed the escalator to rev my car up the steep ramp, felt the fuel pump drawing air. Anybody have that experience before? Is it damaging to the engine,ah?

Too low a fuel level will damage the fuel pump, rather than the engine.
-
try not to go too low, as non level ground can lead to fuel not going into car
i think latio fuel pump is near the tank, not so bad. old cars the pump is near the engine and sometimes if you drive until no fuel, the pump get jam and u must manually suck fuel out to the front for the car to start!
-
Anyone knows what is our fuel tank made of ? I was told that if it is made of metal, too low level of the petrol will have corrosion issue if the petrol reach the top level. If made of fibre glass, no such worry, other than the pump problem.

The pump did not jam, if it jam, you suck also no use. Those are mechanical pumps attached to your engine and you need the engine to start before it starts pumping. These days, electrical pumps are used instead. Fuel pumps are usually cooled by the fuel going thru it and if there isn't any to go thru it for too long a period, the motor will overheat. Good thing that it's in the tank is that it stays cool while it works but the bad thing is that it's very hard to replace.

Noticed this last week. I was to send my wife for an interview in PTP. Before reaching the place, the low fuel light came on. Thought there would be a station there but there wasn't any in sight. Did some inquiring and found out that the nearest station was in Gelang Patah town. People told me that it is like 6km but it was 25km away!!! When I reached there and pumped full, it was only 38litres. So now I know that there is still around 5litres still is reserve

. my reserve (5L) can go fo another 60Km.. so .. just be careful....
Normally once the light appear, in worst case situation, i still allow myself to travel 12km or 20 km more (from Tampines to Aljunied) then i top up liao ...
So even when the fuel light appear, dont freak out yet =D

My low fuel warning light came on today and I travelled another 20km before pumping.
There fuel pump auto cut off at 38 litres, which meant when fuel, warning indicator came on, there's at least 36 litres of petrol left (based on a very conservative 10km/l).
This means there's 9 litres of fuel left when low fuel warning light cam eon, allowing you to travel at least 90km before topping out.

i experienced it too. recently my low fuel light lighted up as well and went to pump. previously when it was left with a quarter, it pumps 32++ litres. so i was thinking this time it might be higher. but then it can only pump in 35++ litres.

my own experience so far, whenever the light came on, its about 35l top up for me

it's a good form of training! For our latio, it took me damn long to fill up to e brink.
