Was at the motor show recently to view both cars , to sum it all , i think Nissan have taken a hit and probably 2009 will not look good for them.
09 City prob have the looks , i-Vtec 120hp engine that will sway many potential subcompact cars buyers. the Latio only has its "Made in Japan" tag that worths noting for...

i do agree that the 2009 honda city look fierce from the outside..
but the interior looks outdated..

The back is rather short like the old vios.

The interior got no climate aircon and look like the old one..

The city looks like the old vios with new front grills to me only....new cerato have over 120+hp and it is easily cheaper than city by more than 10k+.... City is made in thailand.....only those die die must buy honda ppl will buy it and make KAH motor directors filthy rich :nonod:

You are comparing a Japan made Nissan Latio with a Thai-assembled Honda City, and am not comparing apples with apples.
In any case, City is on a lower league and is classified as a budget car, hence made in Thailand (but ironically, budget car at premium pricing). City is on same league as Toyota Vios.
