I'm trying to DIY (a) engine grounding, (b) ICE (amp & DSP), and (c) carputer. The part I need help is the battery terminal clamps. Typically, you've those branded ones that take in (biggest) 1x4AWG in SGP, or from overseas, 1x0AWG,1x4AWG,2x8AWG (tsunami, raptor, stinger, etc). I find it slightly limiting. What is the smart thing to do here? (BTW, I've found a local source for XLPE single-core cables all the way up to 0AWG and beyond, for little $$ compared to 4AWG cables (commonly found in SLT) purposed for car use when it is using PVC!!)
Or should I go the low-cost route? After all, it's just a block of copper or brass. Which shop will have a good selection of clamps like this? Can clamp one piece of any-size cable.
