I dun know abt DIY...I mean what comes with the car as "spare tyre" when you first purchased it...when i was shopping for a car before i got my latio, I did check out Honda Fit...and was surprise to find that they have fix-a-flat solution as compared to the conventional spare tyre...it works the same logic as spare tyre...enough to get u to the workshop only...it is not a permanent solution....

Fit/Jazz reknowned for good fc, without spare tyre should help a bit, so for those interested in improving your fc, maybe can consider removing your spare tyre.
Come to think of it, I have been driving since 1998, own my first car in 2003 and had change tyre only once. So maybe it does make sense to go without spare tyre unless thinking of going malaysia.

hi all, just my exp..ever hit a the metal piece which has already wear and tear (at least 5cm in length and 6 inches in height) in malaysia and believed the fix-the-flat tools won't help in this instant. For me, just changed the spare tyre and sent to workshop to get it change to new tyre..

eh check with u >> if u change tires to 16 or 17">> Do u change our spare tyre (15") too??''
if never change, then if you are running on 17" rims>> when kanna a flat and want to change tire>> the tire will not fit one rite??
-
not the same logic
Fix a flat = you try to repair a damaged tyre and reuse it. What if the condition is beyond repair?
spare tyre = you have an extra working condition tyre to start with.
If you only drive in city and have free towing service and can sell away the spare tyre lah.

It should fit.....had driven a car oversea before whose spare tyre is smaller.....there was once we had a punctured tyre and we had to use it.....according to instruction, suppose to drive no faster than 50kph, make slow turn and went to the nearest workshop to fix the original tyre....according to instruction, the spare tyre cannot be used for driving for a distance longer than 50km...
