Need to change the side mirror assembly with motor + wiring.
I think not worth it, if you wanna add the missing items to transform to premium model.

When it close it don't adjust anything on the mirror itself, just closing it so when it open back, there's no change on your mirror position.

Wait...we are not talking abt auto tiling hor?

morning and the mirror is back exactly to the same position as of last nite b4 i close it ?

When it close, it won't tilt the mirror thus there's no change in the position.

Dangerous to turn head all the time....there is a chance tat at the instant where u turn ur head back and u were following too closely to the car infront and the car infront zam brake....then u might knock into him....also when at junctions with pedestrian crossing....some pedestrian siao one....as long as they see zebra crossing....they assume u MUST give way to them....happen to me a few times when i turn my head to check for traffic from right....i have to jam brake.....damn these pedestrians....

Of cos you don't do Turn Head Check when u r too close the the front car ( isn't that the golden rule, not to be too close to comfort? ), your judgment while u driving plays a very important part.

Turn Head Check are good during over take and switch lane.

As for Zebra Crossing, the Pedestians r Right - you MUST give way. In China, they said - This dead Zebra will do the last say for you if anything happens when you are with him at the time of accident.

Sounds like a great deal.

I'm interested to have it done too.

Just to check with you.

If the mirror connection causes a short circuit, will it affect the mother board / ECU?

Will Tan Chong void our warranty as a result?

Correct me if I'm wrong, if the connection blown, the most it will kill yr battery but not your ECU. Cars are pretty well fused.

Premium come with the following as standard (may not be exhaustive):

Seat cover
Armrest
6 speakers instead of 4
Leather wrapped steering
Auto light
"S" mode instead of "O/D" mode
Foldable side mirror
Premium don't have "1", "2" gear.

Both use the same engine - just that model each uses different transmission. 4AT for base & CVT for premium.

i got mine fixed last year sept.....initial first few months ok....then problems arises

1)the side mirror doesnt open up fully, meaning its like tilt at an angle showing your back passenger car door.
2)when it opens up the mirror either tilits up or down.
3)the buttons are not functioning at times.(buttons to close and open the side mirror
4)the tilting of the mirror when reversing works only when it feels like it.

overall-FAIL

wont recomend at all waste of time and money

Haha, it is the CVT that makes me buy the premium one.  Like it with no jerk.  Not so concern with the other features (though good to have, such as armrest, auto light, fog light, etc).  As for the dashboard, we can choose either wood grain or silver.

Choose or opt out is the same thing leh.  The SE ask me choose things like colour of car, colour of interior, want wood grain or silver, want clear or tinted film for back seat and rear screen, etc.
