sad, only few days old n i ganna scratches on my left door when reverse parking...didnt notice the other mini bus parked beside n thought i can reverse in. (2 yrs didnt drive, my reverse really cmi...)
not really very serious, but i think will hav lines even if i polish it...wondering around how much if i want to spray my left door? TM or outside cheaper?
-
bro advise is that if the scratches is nt really obvious den better wait for some time den do a one time spray over.....doing the partial spray may not worth/possiblities of having two tone color...just a oenny of thought...but if really cannot tahan den go outside workshop do cos its still your ride man.... ....TCM cnfm expensive one

Definately outside cheaper.. if scratches not very deep, can polish away la.. or use scratch remover..

Hi kennytoh
Did the paint peal off? If not, you can try using Carglo or scratchX to remove the scratches.
I have apply Carglo directly to the area of scratch and manage to remove it. Clean surface before applying. Polish the area. May need to do it a few round before seeing result. After that, clean the surface again.
The bottle looks like this: http://www.driven.com.sg/ProductDetail.asp?Model=CCCP

thanks alot, i will go n search for it.
im not really sure...not sure whether is my paint or the other party. i see white lines scratches...

Kenny,
Don't let the scratches or dents bother you too much.
Mine also has lots of dents and scratches.
I just left it as it is.
A dentless car with perfect paintwork is not going to fetch you a higher resale value. ;)

i am using the turtle brand swirl & scratch remover, not bad lah...
no need to repaint lah, later sure will kena again one, somehow or rather...
1st scratch heartpain
2nd one a bit pain
subsequent ones, aiya bo chap... heehee
-
guys..after i used the scratch remover to try remove the scratches, it leaves an ugly patch which
i can't get rid of...so i used polisher and the patch becomes less obvious but still can see the
patch in certain angles..how ah ?

i am thinking of going back to TCM and ask them to touch up for me during my coming 10K servicing .. if possible FOC..
Anyone has tried?

heehee, im waiting for my 10k servicing too. then will decide how. when i first collect my car, i noticed many lines on my car caused by polishing. then my SE promised and arrange a free polishing for mi during the servicing...but for the spraying, i doubt they will FOC and somemore it probably will take 1 day to spray the whole door.
when i first collected my car, i notice my mileage is 50. i only get to know that it is very high which normally should be only around 5km. do u think it might be a test drive car?
-
Test drive car usually has at least a few hundred kilometres mileage.
Very likely that your new car was driven to the various external contractors to fit the after market accessories.

oic, thanks alot for the info. i think might be like what u said, my SE help me to fix a reverse camera

Small touch-up TCM can do FOC, at least I try that at Ubi. Colour will be a bit diff as our car colour fade as time goes by compare to the stock paint. But it is just simple touch-up for those not so picky.
When I see new scratch, I try to wash then apply sealant on the same week as to reduce the chance of rusting.

think better to live with it....u going to get more along the way...like my hubby said..got scratch then got "character"...haha :yehyeh:
