Just now i just discovered 2 weird things abt my latio sedan (CVT)
1) for my side mirrors, whenever i close/open it using the switch, i find that the side mirror at my passenger's side tends to open/close faster than my side (driver) leh... I tot both mirrors should close/open at the same rate one ?
(i never notice this unevenness till tonight - so no noe whether is it a common thing or problem with my mirrors)
2) whenever i turn my ignition switch till the 2nd stage (got eletricity but the engine not crank yet), there will be a series of clicking sound (lasted for 5 sec). BUt when i cranked up the engine, the sound will disappear. What is that series of clicking sound?? some timer or some initial start sequences?
(last time i also never notice this leh.. so dont know if it a problem or a common thing)
Any one has encounter these before??

My Driver Side mirror always close slower, one day, I decided to place my plam on it and I notice that there is a short time lag between actual movement of the mirror and the motor. Do you ever notice that the mirror is not tight when fully closed for both. Maybe that the reason But I dun see any major issue, as it it does what u want it do to. That is side mirror closing when you press the switch.
Yes there is but only for at most 1 seconds or so defintely not 5 seconds, and not really audible, unless you are concentrating on hearing.

oh.. so is okie =D..
cos tonight i'm the last one to leave my office carpark.. so the difference in sound (for both mirrors) is more obvious..
Initally i tot the difference in speed is due to my small bump at the side mirror last bump (as a result, abit of my paint at left side mirror is chip off :crycry:)

The whirring and clicking is the fuel pump priming the fuel lines. It allows the engine to start with very few turns. It is definitely audible.

Oh . is it?? so loud one
hmm then this means >> my ride is NORMAL rite??

Guess it is as i have encounter the same as yours....

yes i have the same thing as well ! so i guess it's normal. the mirrors same problem as yours as well.. .. and my driver's door closing sound is not as ncie as the passenger door (perhaps due to wear and tear on the mechanical parts in the door locks and hinges)

Bro Limck007,
My right mirror also closes slower than the left passenger side. I try not to close the mirror unnecessarily to prolong the life span of the motor, not sure if it helps. So i will only close the mirror when i am parking in a space-tight lot.

Sorry to bring out an old thread. =]
How does the fuel pump prime the fuel lines? Does it use fuel from the tank? Because I tend to turn the ignition to postition II, just before cranking engine, to activate wipers and windows. Could I be wasting fuel everytime I do this?
